To start out with, it is an easy and fun way to get into a language, especially if you are not the type to slave over a book for hours a day.

Most seasoned language learners will pass over it in favor of materials more suited to their level, but RS has a lot of advantages for new or stubborn students.

The only people that will tell you RS is good are RS employees or people who have never learned a language to full fluency.Įdit 2: The guy that called bullshit works for RS lol. I am just trying to give people information so they can make a good decision. It is not like I came here going after the RS company. Check it out hereĮdit: For all those who are flaming. If I haven't convinced you here is a good article of someone who has more experience than me at learning languages. The best thing you can do is ask yourself how much time you are willing to put forward and what your goal is. Most people say they want to be fluent, but do they really have the dedication needed? No, they don't. Now I know you will say "Then what is better Jhoiz"? Well, that depends on your language and what you want to do with that language. Native speakers of the language have trouble getting their words recognized with perfect accents. It will only recognize a hard American accent of the language you are learning. This is one thing they love to market and well it is not true. Their voice recognition software is terrible. If you want to learn how to say "The ball is blue" then Rosetta stone if for you. They teach you random words and sentences that aren't helpful. I will be the first to admit their marketing is the best in the business, but they offer one of the worst products ever. I know people are fooled by Rosetta Stone's marketing ploys. It’ll help you get customer assistance or reinstall your software.I realize most people that come here have little experience learning a language and well that is why this subreddit is here.
